Whatever horrific shit they've done or encouraged, they just happened to pick the same name I've been using for years.

I had no idea some shithead was using a name similar to mine or what they were involved in until someone sent me a DM about it.

For what it's worth, I usually go by "MeldritchHorror," not just "Meldritch" like they apparently did? Again, I really don't know much about what's going on.

Seeing the sudden burst of traffic DID remind me that this site was horribly out of date, it's not really been a priority while I've been dealing with health problems.

Admittedly, I also just don't want a bunch of attention from weirdoes or ending up included in AI-fueled misinfo or whatever might come of it. The internet sucks, now.

So what's been going on? Not much, I'm afraid. :(

I've been mostly inactive for the past couple of years due to a series of health problems, including nerve damage in my neck and arm, a year-long struggle with gallbladder pain before doctors took me seriously enough to get surgery, and now some kind of autoimmune disease that the doctors can't seem to figure out. It sucks.

The good news is that I've recovered from the gallbladder surgery, I've been working with a neurologist and orthopedic surgeon to (hopefully!) get the nerve issues fixed, and we've at least found a variety of treatments that keep most of the autoimmune issues under control.

I still can't work like I used to, but I'm finally starting to get back into the swing of things. It will still be a while before I can finish my backlog of commissions, especially since I'm nearly having to teach myself to draw again; all I've been able to do for the past while is doodle, but I've done some (very, very slow) personal art lately that I'm almost happy with.
